Energy Infrastructure Alliance Action
Advocating for programs that empower businesses to scale energy technologies and strengthen U.S. energy infrastructure.
The Energy Infrastructure Alliance Action (EIA Action) is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization dedicated to building bipartisan support for federal policies and programs that mobilize private capital for the construction of transformative energy infrastructure and supply chain projects in the United States.
A modern, resilient energy sector is essential to both national security and economic growth. The need for affordable and reliable energy is becoming more acute as American consumers grapple with rising energy costs and U.S. businesses face constraints because of projected electricity shortfalls. At the same time, building a strong domestic energy industry has become both more difficult and more critical as U.S. companies face intensifying global competition.
While the U.S. excels at driving energy innovation, bringing energy technologies from invention to widespread market adoption is a long, capital-intensive, and high-risk journey. As a result, too many breakthroughs fail to translate into real benefits for Americans in the form of domestic manufacturing jobs or affordable, reliable, and secure energy.
Policy reforms are needed to better leverage public financing to catalyze private investment for many transformative energy projects. The traditional approach to financing energy infrastructure and supply chain projects in the United States is outdated and inadequate. Companies are largely reliant on conventional capital markets that lack both the risk tolerance and specialized expertise required to fund large-scale, high-impact energy projects in the national interest.
Effective federal financing tools are urgently needed to close the financing gap that is preventing next-generation American technologies from moving mainstream and hindering the buildout of critical energy infrastructure. Through targeted advocacy and strategic engagement, EIA Action champions a comprehensive approach to catalyzing investments in transformative energy infrastructure and supply chain projects in the United States.
EIA Action works to build bipartisan backing for proven federal programs that target innovative energy projects that are perceived to be too risky or too large for traditional private finance. EIA Action advocates for loans, grants, credit enhancements, aggregation facilities, and insurance products that empower companies to scale energy technologies and strengthen energy infrastructure in the United States.
EIA Action works closely with its non-profit partner, the Energy Infrastructure Alliance Forum (EIA Forum), to advance practical, results-driven policies through the legislative process.
